Site Map

A brief overview of the Servant-Leader Associates web site.

The Cross and the Möbius Strip

I have chosen the Cross and the Möbius Strip as the symbol for my work. The Cross is a symbol representing the intentional Christian lay ministry of Servant-Leader Associates. The Möbius Strip represents the indivisibility of serving and leading and God's Spirit and the human spirit. Click on this logo to find out more.

The Call to Servant-Leadership

Hear Robert Greenleaf and Isaiah beckon you to servant-leadership. Discover a prayerful 12-step discipline for the healthy use of power. Find some values that serve as a foundation for servant-leadership.

Reflections on Servant-Leadership

Try a definition of servant-leadership on for size. Does it fit or might you shape it a different way? What does this definition mean for how we understand institutions?

Helpful Models of Servant-Leadership

Look at some models that might help you understand the embodiment and application of servant-leadership.

Scripture for the Journey of Servant-Leadership

As I have been praying and reflecting about servant-leadership in the Christian tradition the last several years, many passages from scripture have spoken to my heart. I hope they offer you both challenge and support on your own journey.

Offerings on Leadership

Consider what other colleagues and companions have to say about the
dilemmas, challenges and opportunities of leadership.

Wisdom of the Elders

Several authors, some ancient and some contemporary, have spoken with deep hearts and insightful minds and I am including some of their "wisdom" sayings in this gathering of the elders. I imagine a conversation taking place between these folks about what is true and real in the practice of leadership. Come and listen!

Companions on the Web

The world is alive with dedicated people and organizations serving the common good. Some are rooted in servant-leadership. Go visit some sites I have found meaningful.

About James S. Emrich
